“Allen Shay – An effective advocate for District 4 and the City of Pasadena”
Allen Shay is who he is because of Pasadena. He is a 21 year resident of Hastings Ranch, the only candidate who is a product of Pasadena Public Schools, and he has a plan that can be implemented immediately in light of the current budget crisis. Allen has spent his entire life working on behalf of the residents of this community. He prides himself on serving others, problem solving and addressing the needs faced by residents of Pasadena.
Allen Shay pledges that as a member of the City Council to work tirelessly on behalf of District 4. "The issues are real and we need a common sense way of doing things with a good understanding of this community". Allen is committed to the preservation of neighborhoods, schools, businesses, parks and basic services.
Allen has taken on issues never addressed before:
- Restore and retain fire services.
- Create a safety program.
- Develop a beautification initiative for Colorado Blvd. and Foothill Blvd. (to create local jobs).
- Create a local ordinance requiring notice to residents prior to owners of group homes/transitional housing taking possession of the property.
Experience:
- 30 year Pasadena business owner.
- USC Graduate.
- Law school graduate.
- Licensed real estate broker.
- Committed to community service since the age of 16.

(created business growth to North West Pasadena.) - Instrumental in bringing Paseo to Pasadena.

(serving on the governmental affair committee). - East Pasadena policing task force volunteer.
- Coach of the Pasadena Trojan Pop Warner football team.
- Established a mentor leadrship program for students of PHS, Muir, Blair and USC.

Established the Our Society Foundation.
(which provides scholarships to P.U.S.D. students who are accepted to 4 year colleges.
